Be My Valentine??

Luke made his first craft. (With lots of assistance of course)

I decided that he needed to seen both sets of grandparents valentines and this is what they turned out like...I tried to make a heart with his hand prints at first, but it was a major failure. All he wanted to do wall ball his hand up and put them in his mouth...so I then had to change and use his feet. We had so much fun making these!

Happy Valentines Day!

Snow Daysss!

Well if you haven't heard, it snowed/iced for 4 days here in the DFW area. Schools were canceled for 4 days in a row which was probably a record and this is super bowl week, so people were supposed to be coming in town and partying all week which made the roads and travel awful.
Luckily I stayed home with Luke out of the weather and Andrew got to work from home for those 4 days so we just made camp at home and tried to stay warm.

To keep our selves busy during this record storm one day my SIL and neice and nephew came over and spent the day with us so we could all be bored together! :) It made the day go by so much faster and that evening we ended up going up to the Great Wolf Lodge with some friends and all the kids to play in the water and ride the slides. Luke loved the water!

Three Months- January 29th!

Three Months!

Luke,

Wow. From month 2 to 3 you have changed so much.
You now have become a thumb/fist sucker. Every chance you get to stick that thumb in your mouth you do. You still love your soothie, but your thumb has also become a favorite.
With that being said you have found your hands, you can put you hands together. You will just sit in you Bumbo with you hands together- you look like a little proper boy.
You are becoming more and more aware of your surroundings. You watch when people enter and leave the room and the biggie is - you have noticed the T.V. which I try to get you not to watch...
You now are laughing, not a whole lot yet, but you have your moments when you let out this deep little 'huh- huh' laugh. It is so cute and you are so proud!
You HATE your car seat when you are awake. There are time when you fall asleep and its ok, but if you are awake you are screaming for you life the entire drive. It breaks my heart to hear you cry, but I have had to reassure myself that you are fed, clean and safe so that I don't melt down and just go home. Hopefully you just learn to relax and go with it....it will be better for everyone involved.
We have introduce your standing exersaucer. It is hard for you to balance in it, but we will keep working on that.
You love to go grocery shopping with me and ride in your Bjorn.
You went to your first rodeo (Fort Worth Rodeo). You actually went twice- once you had a blast and once you screamed you little baby head off the entire time.
All of a sudden there a certain things that scare you that cause you to break out in tears. For example- you dad was holding you and he cleared his throat and it scared you, or Brazos yelled and that scared you. We haven't figured out what triggers these melt downs, but hopefully you won't get so startled.
We are getting more and more into a routine at home and you sleeping patterns are getting better. You are so much fun to watch and be with. You make mine and you daddy's life so much fun!

Love,

Mommy

Happy New Year! 2011

This year for New Years we decided to have all of our college friends over! It was so fun. We started out at LaHacienda for some amazing food and then we ended back at our house to hang out, play games and ring in the new year. While I love all my new friends I have made since college, no one can replace my college friends. I miss them so much and the few times that we now get to spend together are treasured so much! I hope that some day we can all live in a town again (preferably on the same block)!

Luke definitely got lots of attention!

But he spend most of his time doing this:

2011 is going to be a great year!

Holly, Jolly Harmon Christmas

Christmas came and went way to fast! We had so much fun over our break. This year we had Christmas with the Harmon side, and due to everyone's schedule being different Andrew and I got to spend a week out in Aledo so that we could celebrate with everyone. We celebrate Christmas several times. This Chrstmas was super special because it was Luke's first Christmas. Even though he won't remember any of it, I felt that we must still celebrate the same. Luke got tons of toys and goodies from everyone and Santa even brought him a play area that he stands up in and rotates around and plays in (pics to come). As we speak Santa is in the other room cursing the toy because it came in a million pieces and it is taking foreverrrr to put together. Next year Santa is only bring pre-assembled toys to this Harmon house! :)

Our First Christmas tree! (we didn't have one last year because we were living in an appt):

Fun Christmas in Aledo!:

They love their toys!

Cousins!

Our new family on Christmas Morning (sorry about the bad hair and look of exhaustion-i am sure this is one of the many mornings after Luke decided to get up super early or to puke all over me):

Everyone got iPads!!

While we were in Aledo the boys got the idea to give each other hair cuts. It started out rough, but in the end Christopher and Andrew ended up with really good hair cuts. I admit that I was skeptical and thought that this was going to be a disaster, but in the end they both had free hair cuts, and you know I love when things are free!

I hope you Christmas brought you lots of love and joy! Having Luke made our Christmas one to remember!
