Double Digits

Its true- 97 day until Luke arrives. Yikes! So excited, but freaking out at the same time! I just got really overwhelmed this morning when I was thinking about all I have to do before now and then. Here are a few of them:

- Move - yes I know what you are thinking "Abbi, didn't you just move like 2 month's ago?" Yes we did, but we are crazy and we are moving again. Andrew's brother is moving to North Carolina and we are going to move into the house that they were living in. It is a better situation for us, and it is just down then road in Colleyville, so it shouldn't be to hard. We will move sometime mid- August.
- With moving comes packing, so between now and August I need to pack up this house. I know it is a lot of work, but it will be worth it in the end.
-Plan, paint, and decorate the nursery. Which by the way I am about to go crazy trying to decide on what fabric/colors to choose. Right now as I type this I am looking at about 60 swatches of fabric on my coffee table. Just when I think I have a plan either Andrew doesn't like it, or the fabric isn't available anymore, or it doesn't match the carpet.
- Take our child birth classes.
- Take the pre-labor work out classes.
- Organize and unpack everything in our new house.
- Get everything a baby needs.
- Not stress out during all of this.
- Survive this miserable Texas heat.
- Finish my library book.
- Read about 10 other books on babies- who knew there was so much to know and decide on before Luke actually comes?!?

If you know me at all you are probably wondering how I am not just a royal mess, because I am a very planned person, who doesn't like the unexpected or craziness. My answer to you is that God is giving me peace and patience with this entire process. In the past year I have learned more about myself, what I can do, and God than I ever have in my entire life. Now I definitely have my moments where I freak out and get entirely overwhelmed, but I am learning to take things one day at a time. I hope I can accomplish all of this and more in 97 days! By the way, I can now feel Luke kick and punch me all day long- I can tell that he is getting very excited about meeting everyone!

Fantastic 4th

I know the 4th was a few weeks ago, but I thought I would update y'all on what we did. This year for the 4th we went out to Lake Granbury where Andrew's parents have a lake house. We went out Thursday night and spent the first half of the weekend indoors working on a puzzle and hanging out becuase of the stormy weather.

Finally on Saturday early evening it finally cleared up some to get outside and enjoy the boat and the lake. Sunday we spend the whole day boating, swimming, skiing, and eating.

Andrew skiing.

Brazos and Christopher tubing.

In the evening we hung out in our cove and watched all the neighbors set off fire works, and we even managed to get some and do some ourselves.

Happy 4th!
