Rice Cereal Adventure

A few weeks ago we started Luke on rice cereal. He wasn't sure about it for the first bite or two but since then he has gobbled it up every time. The only thing is- since he has started it he has been waking up every 20 mins at night- which is wearing me out! If there are any moms out there who have any tips or has experienced this I would loved to hear what you had to do. We have since taken a break to see if it really is the ceareal waking him up an then we might try a different brand, or oatmeal. But this mom cant get up every 20 mins. Here are pics from his first rice cereal experience:

He of course had to go straight to the bath afterwords!

4 Months- Feb.28? Mar.1?

I am not really sure what day to count Luke to be 4 months old on since he was born on the 29th and there isn't a Feb 29th. So I guess we'll just call him 4 months old. For an OCD person like myself this rally bothers me bc i like patterns and organization.

4 months!

Luke,

You are growing so fast! Stop it! You were 15lbs 1 oz at your 4 month check up. You (and mommy) t00k your shots like a champ! Much better than your 2 month appt.
This month you have grown in many different ways. You have turned more into a 'baby' and less 'infant'. You no longer use your green soothie- you have moved up in the pacifier world and are using blue gumdrop pacifiers.
We got this goofy caterpillar that hangs from your car seat and it has been a life saver- you cry so much less now in the car. Thank you weird caterpillar.
You went to Sing Song and met all of Mommy and Daddy's friends! Everyone love you!
You are getting better at rolling over- but how would I know?- I have yet to see it! You have this game going on that you won't do it in front of me. I can leave you on you mat and leave the room and come back and you will have rolled over- or you will do it for your dad- but me? no. Its ok- I can wait...
You are 'talking' now. You are babbling and cooing all day just talking up a storm telling all kinds of stories. You even say the sound 'mama'. I know you aren't associating it with me yet- but it makes me feel special bc I keep telling myself that you are saying my name, and I'm trying to convince your dad that that is your first word(which drives him crazy).
You went on your first plane ride to the ski house in Utah. You traveled great and we were very proud of you.
You are wearing mostly 3-6 month clothes but you are fitting into some 9 month clothes! Its killing me to put those on you!
You are a laughing machine- we can tickle and play with you and you just giggle away.
We love you and enjoy watching you grow and change!

Love,
Mommy

Utah for Andrew's Birthday

We went to Utah to ski and spend time in the mountains for Andrew's birthday at the end of Feb. Luke got to go on his first plane ride and he did great! He slept most of the time. I packed the 3 of us in 2 bags and when we got there only one of our bags made it. :( The bag that had ALL of our Ski gear, Luke's diapers, and other necessities was nowhere to be found. But after talking to the bagaggae claim lady and giving her our house address American somehow found our bag and had it delivered to us at 5 am- just in time to ski the next day! Thanks American Airlines- i admit i didnt have much faith in you.
The rest of the days we spent skiing, hanging out, hot tubbing, celebrating Andrew and eating. In between all that I got altitude sickness for about 24 hours and was throwing up and having an awful headache- gatorade and advil helped me through that one. I took our camera up there and then never really used it. I am so bad about that! Somehow these are the only pics I took. We had so much fun! Can't wait to go back! When can Luke start ski school?!? Andrew begged to put Luke in the Bjorn and ski down the mountain- but i think CPS would have a problem with that. I had to say 'no' multiple times. :)

Lake Day in Feb.

Well Folks.
Sorry it has been so long. I love Luke to death, but trying to find time during the day to get my computer out and blog is becoming harder and harder. He isnt much of a long napper, and when he is awake he is hands on. Anyways, today he is sick (my poor baby) and sleeping a lot so I am fortunately watching tv (catching up on my Bravo addiction) quietly, trying to put out a few blog posts and pay bills (yuck!), and I might be doing a little online shopping (don't tell Andrew).

Anyways...Remember that week in Feb. where we had like a week of snow and then on Saturday it was warm and in the 70s? Well that weekend after we were stuck in the house for like foreverrr we finally got out of the house and spend the day at the lake with family soaking up the sun!

I now am ready to be spending all my time outside enjoying the warm weather!
